When I was four years old, I had a toy piano on which I learned to play quite a number of little tunes, not nursery rhyme tunes, but snippets of "real music". My Dad was manager of a small grocery shop ( before the onslaught of supermarkets ! ), and I would entertain the customers by playing my repertoire for them. Some of them were very appreciative, and even gave me money for playing. ( 20 cents was a fortune in those days ! ) I've progressed a bit since then , and this is a photo of me and my music teacher ( and best friend ) Addam, taken in March 1994 when I gained my Diploma in Professional Performance, Organ.
