I took this photo of a sunrise at Port Douglas in Northern Queensland, and played around with the colours.
The verse was written by my sister, Sally, and dedicated to one of my cats. It reads :
The pain of a friend's
passing hurts no less
whether that friend is human or otherwise, old or young.
They have shared our lives,
and allowed us to share theirs.
The happy moments, and the sad, at times our only comfort.
A companion, but so much
more, a soul mate, a willing listener
when no-one else seems to care.
They come and go, but each
and every one has a special place
in our hearts and in our memories. They will live forever.
